IPII on watch for something. I’ve spent all day reinstalling programs on my computer, so sorry I don’t have more!

My trading computer’s installation of Windows decided to die, so I am in the process of reinstalling all my programs. It could be up to a day or two before I am functioning normally again. I apologize for any inconvenience. Please post watchlist ideas as comments on this post.
DRJ – short on green/red … crappy promoted scum company that’s been around for awhile and now is on Amex so possibly shortable.
AIG – short on green/red … the move from $34 to $56 was penny-stock like. It has already had some fading Friday afternoon.

I covered way too early on Vonage Holdings Corp. (Public, NYSE:VG) but still made $1645.36. I predicted that there would be a significant morning panic on Vonage today and I was right. I have to give props to Tim Sykes who made about the same amount of money on a much smaller position, riding VG down from $2.27 to $1.82. (Want to learn how Tim Sykes and I correctly predicted what would happen to Vonage and profited from it? Check out his Pennystocking Part Deux DVD. I have now made over $80,000 since June of 2008 trading Timothy Sykes’ system!) My total profit on VG this week, long and short, was almost $3000. Far from ideal considering my position sizes, but I’ll take it.
Vonage dropped from about $2.00 to $1.40, an easy 30% drop for those who waited just a few more minutes than did I.

Here is some music by Piffaro, my favorite trading music. I had it playing while doing my trade recap but unfortunately the microphone didn’t catch it.
No watch list for tomorrow besides VG. I’m short big VG overnight looking for morning panic tomorrow. Here is the video about the trade.

Disclosure: Short 15,000 shares of VG at an average price of $1.99502. I have a disclosure policy.
I took Vonage (VG) long and short today, but it was not ideal for a short. I also played a TimAlert. I wait with baited breath until tomorrow. I am back green on the week and I have made up for last week’s losses too. Not a bad day.
Watchlist
WAVE – long on strength, short on weakness.
VG – short aggressively on green/red.

I am a firm believer in tracking all your stock trades. In fact, you can see how all my trading strategies are performing by visiting my trading profits page. By tracking your trades according to which strategy you are using you can identify how profitable a strategy is and whether you should be using more or less money to trade it. Furthermore, tracking your trades will help you to avoid trades that are based on hunches and not on specific strategies, because it will quickly become clear how quickly you lose money on such trades.
Download below a version of the trade log spreadsheet I use. Use a separate sheet in the spreadsheet for each different trading strategy. Watch the video below if you need guidance in how to use the spreadsheet.
Excel 2000 trade log spreadsheet
Open Office trade log spreadsheet
[Edit 2013-12-3]: I created a new version that has separate columns for commissions because some people find this to be simpler (I just use formulas to include them in the trade price) and I saved this in the current Excel format. Download here.
[Edit 2015-3-24]: I finally uploaded a version to Google Docs and improved the formulas. Go to “File” > “Make a copy” to save a copy to your Google Docs so you can edit it.

Vonage Holdings Corp. (Public, NYSE:VG) is on short watch after a 400% move from yesterday’s open to after-hours trading today on no significant news. In the video I tell you just what I am looking for before I will sell it short. It is such a pretty supernova that nothing else seems worth watching tomorrow.
I perfectly called Nexstar Broadcasting Group Inc. (NXST) as a long above the $1.88 break (see my watchlist last night), but a brokerage error and my hesitance caused me to miss the trade. If you profited from this, please let me know in the comments!
