Well, it looks like my thoughts on a big financial catastrophe this year were not simply the inane ravings of a lunatic. Nouriel Roubini thinks very similarly to me. While neither he nor I am sure that this will happen, it is a distinct possibility, and it is worth preparing for it.

  1. Did Continental Fuels really purchase Geer Oil in TX? And if so, what was the real value of the purchase? Was the purchase just hype?

  2. Yes, it looks like they did. The problem with CFUL is not that they aren’t a real company, but that they lose money and that they diluted shareholders with a ton of shares (mostly in convertibles, so you have to dig to find the real share count).
