What chat is for … CHGY short

I messed up the trade by covering too soon and playing too small, but this is a good example of how alerts can help you. I alerted CHGY and shorted it on g/r and it ended the day down 6.85%. The following are excerpts from Tim Sykes’ chatroom that I moderate.

  1. thats amazing

too bad i will never pay that scum sykes for your amazing room

go back to a free room moron, you’ll make more money with real users than those assholes that pay sykes

  2. That is either that made up Mike_13th character or Investors Live posting that comment…You might be taking subscribers away from their screen shot gains they post.

  3. Thank you Reaper for your fine moderation daily AND this much needed blog post.

Calls, particularly in context with homework done by the poster, make chat worthwhile.

Really *ideal* calls with perfect set-ups like EMAN ditto.

Free rooms are zoos like Stock Hideout, which I visited today. 600 Newbies posting random unmoderated “picks” because THEY bought/sold it, illiquid sub 1centers, that have no context or homework because the posters are not trading professionals who confuse other newcomers and make the room useless, and a waste of everyone’s time.

I frequent Reaper’s room for a very important reason, and that is for timely real-time ***alerts*** like CHGY…

    1. Yeah CHGY was far from ideal … we nailed EMAN earlier this week in chat (although I missed the trade) … I would’ve posted that but I hadn’t enabled chat logs until yesterday.

But I definitely agree … the key is to know the stocks / setups so you can make use of the alerts. CHGY had a big run chart so we were short-biased.

  4. I notice no one clamoring for your return.

PS Pride goeth before a fall.

Investorslive is scum and you are quickly getting there

Reaper: I AM THE DEATH BRINGER! THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS.

You mock G*D. You will pay

    1. Seriously? You talk about God while trolling random people on the internet? Seriously? And you are obviously an experienced troll …

And I am scum for getting paid to perform a job? lol

  5. Random? Nothing random about you. You are a known egomaniac like your sister Sykes.

Now pray your G*d doesn’t cause one of your ridiculous shorted 10 cent stocks to open up at $5 one day.

    It’s coming.

    You know it.

    1. Well I was right about you being an experienced troll … you are using proxy servers to hide your IP address. You are probably my only hater and you just post with different names and IPs. You are pathetic and I will not allow you to post more drivel on my blog.

      lol a “known egomaniac.”

  6. As a matter of fact, on some critical level it is nearly impossible for any GOOD trader to be an egomaniac.

A need to be be right, and to be directly validated in front of third parties usually goes hand in hand with trading losses. The market does not love you, only mom does, the market does not ask you your opinion or cares about it.

Even some who talk a good game are usually adpet at cutting losses and admitting wrong or defeat, without taking it personally or assuming it is an indictment of their trading skills unless they break their own rules thus being undisciplined when they know better intellectually.

Reaper is NOT an egomaniac by any stretch of the imagination, IMHO.

In chat rooms tons of those are found predicting future price levels to the penny, claiming they saw 1000% moves intra-day coming before they were realized, take personally differing views on trading issues, etc.

Reaper is a polar opposite, arguably…
